Tortilla pinwheels with smoked salmon and honey mustard sauce

Pinwheel tortilla with smoked Salmon and honey-mustard sauce is one of my favorite dishes, both for a party and perfect for lunch to work. They are used quickly, and they taste great. I love Salmon with this sauce option which is sweet and spicy at the same time with Dijon mustard. However, a combination that may and may surprise you is very positive for your palate.

How to choose the best ingredients for tortilla pinwheels with smoked salmon and honey mustard sauce

Philadelphia chees: you can use any creamy cheese for tortillas as long as it has a slight, salty aftertaste.

Tortillas: tortillas can usually be or with toppings. Apart from the usual one, a tortilla with grains or wholemeal will also work well.

Spinach: best for this use where you don’t have a lot of work to do is baby spinach. The spinach leaves are also young, and the stalks do not need to be torn off.

Smoked Salomon: we choose the classic sliced, rather not suitable for our pinwheels cold-smoked Salomon because it has a completely different taste and texture.

Ground coriander: ground coriander, in my opinion, is indispensable, it enhances the flavor of Salmon and the honey mustard sauce.

Mustard dijon: you can use any other very spicy mustard in this dish as long as it is smooth, e.g. Colmans

Honey: Multi flower honey, linden honey, and acacia honey will go best with this sauce. Others may change the taste of buckwheat, or honeydew sauces are too intense in flavor.

Tips and tricks

  • Rolling tortillas is best to start curling them towards you, and then it will be easier to control the filling, which can gently slide forward under pressure.
  • You can use reusable food sticks, then they have interesting finishes, which can make the dish even more enjoyable.
