If you like oatmeal, Peanut butter porridge with berries is perfect for you. It's creamy and easy, and it has healthy proteins. A must-have!

Oatmeal can be prepared in many ways. As shown in the Breakfast of Beauty recipe, you can let it soak overnight. This was one of the first porridges I made as a teenager. I also provide other versions of this recipe. Some of them include fresh fruit, while others, like fried bananas. You can find all of this on my blog. I especially love the moment when fresh berries such as strawberries or blueberries are added. They are one of my favorite fruits. So, if you’re in the mood for porridge with fresh berries, please take a look at this peanut butter porridge recipe with berries.

How to choose the best ingredients for Peanut Butter Porridge with berry

Rolled oats: Choose the one you like the best. It can also be used for porridge. Both forms are made of oat grains. The first form consists of whole grains that are rolled or flattened, while the second form consists of chopped oat grains. Porridge cooks much faster and comes out more uniform, while rolled oats have a better texture and taste. The first version is preferable.

Milk: Choose the milk you use, i.e., cow’s milk or vegetable drinks, sometimes called vegetable milk, from such a vegetable drink. I suggest an oat drink because then it has a slightly sweet flavor.

Peanut butter: I am offering peanut butter in exchange for adding nuts to the porridge. It could also be butter from other nuts available on the market.

Blueberries and strawberries: It is preferable to use fresh fruit, but if unavailable, frozen ones can be used as well. Just a reminder: blueberries may cause our breakfast to turn purple.

Tips and tricks

  • If you decide to buy frozen fruit, take the measured parts from the freezer overnight.
  • If you don’t want to mix the fruit in the oatmeal, first mix the oatmeal with the peanut butter to make it blend. Then, and only later, add the fruit.
