Apple Strudel is a classic pastry filled with apples, raisins, and nuts, wrapped in a thin, flaky crust—perfect for a homemade dessert.

I have a special recipe to share with you. It's not just a regular apple cake; it's more like a cake filled with apples, raisins, and nuts, all wrapped in a delicate puff pastry. When you combine all these ingredients, they create a unique and delicious flavor. Apple Strudel Recipe is full of nuts and raisins. That complements the taste of apples and gives it a royal touch. It would be best if you tried it.
My recipe attempts to replicate the classic Czech strudel I enjoyed in Prague.
It's a taste that stuck with me long after my trip, and I've successfully recreated it at home.

How to choose the best ingredients for Apple Strudel with Nuts and Raisins
Apples: Choose apples that hold their shape during baking. Slightly firmer varieties work best, so they don’t turn into mush. Cut them into even pieces so they cook evenly.
Raisins: Add natural sweetness and a soft texture. You can soak them in warm water or juice for a few minutes to make them even more tender.
Nuts: Add crunch and depth of flavor. Walnuts work especially well, but you can also use almonds or pecans.
Sugar: White sugar is traditionally used in this recipe and gives a clean, classic sweetness. If you want to reduce sugar, you can use alternatives like erythritol, adjusting the amount to taste.
Top Tip for Success
If you're going to make this recipe, make sure to follow this top tip!
- If your apples are not waxed, you can use the peels and cores to make homemade apple cider vinegar instead of throwing them away
- If the strudel is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil during baking
- To prevent sticking, roll out the dough on baking paper or a silicone mat
