Creamy, buttery risotto with apples. It's like the best dessert in the world!

Apple Risotto with Cinnamon is a recommended dessert for children. It’s a perfectly healthy dish that children will love. It’s warming and perfect for autumn evenings. Don’t worry because risotto is a very easy dish to make.

How to choose the best ingredients for Apple Risotto with Cinnamon

Apple juice:  for the most delicious apple juice, seek out varieties that are freshly squeezed and have a short shelf life, rather than those made from concentrate. If you have a 500 ml bottle of this high-quality juice and are uncertain about drinking it all at once, simply add less sugar to preserve its fresh taste for longer.

Sugar: you can use natural sweeteners like xylitol, erythritol, or stevia instead of sugar. Keep in mind that you’ll need different amounts because stevia is sweeter and erythritol is less sweet than regular sugar. While xylitol is a healthy option, it’s best to limit the intake to three teaspoons per day to avoid potential digestive issues.

If you’re okay with sugar, you can use whichever type you prefer, or simply use what you have in the kitchen. Any type of sugar will work, but if you use brown sugar, it may give the dish a slightly different caramel-like taste.

Rice: There are two most popular varieties of risotto rice: Arborio, which has excellent liquid absorption properties and produces a relatively good, creamy risotto, and Carnaroli, which is whippy, has more starch, and produces an even better creamy risotto.

Apples: the sweet wine variety is the best for this recipe.

Cinnamon: I don’t need to advertise the combinations of cinnamon and apples. However, apart from its taste, cinnamon also has other health properties. It is recommended for lowering blood sugar and is also an excellent warmer.

Tips and Tricks Apple Risotto with Cinnamon

  • If we want to minimize the amount of sugar in our child’s diet, we can achieve that by diluting apple juice with water.
